When It Rains..!!

For Rehan, r-n-r goes hand in hand. He loves the rains and the romantic feeling it brings along. His perfect days always includes his ipod filled with thousands of his favorite songs. Yes, he is reticent and introvert & romantic in his own way..!!

He is the old-soul in this era. While his friends are all into current trend and Hollywood music, he easily seeps into his shell with the 60s-70s-80s bollywood music and songs. This was something he inherited from his parents. He still remembers the constant companion THE RADIO, which used to play in their home from morning to evening. It was the symbol of 'Work-in-progress" in his home. Sometimes, he had a strong feeling that even his mother' food was dependent on the mood of the radio songs. He had grown up seeing his parents planning monthly budgets with songs playing in background, dancing to the radio songs, singing out to their favourite singers aloud and teasing each other when their favorite actor/actress' song was played. The smiles and laughters were all still crystal clear in Rehan' memories.

Having lost both his parents, Sunaina and 2 adorable kids was his family. He was living a fulfilling life with good job, frequent trips, good education for his kids and a supportive life-partner. But still, even after all the 'must-haves', somewhere he always had a feeling of Missing-Out something. He was always perplexed with this feeling.

Standing on the porch of his flat, and thumping his fingers on the grill to the sound of rain-drops, Rehan suddenly realized the missing component in his life, THE RADIO - his connect to his childhood, his parents and beautiful memories. In fraction of second, leaving behind the tea cup, Rehan had reached the loft. One-by-one he pulled out all the bundled up things. Seeing their father' actions, the kids started helping him out to find something they didn't knew about ;-) It was their unguarded 'make-mess' day. Completely ignorant of Rehan' actions, Sunaina questioned Rehan with confused eyes.

Understanding her unsaid question, Rehan asked her about the RADIO, to which she just smiled and asked him to check out his cupboard. After moving into their new flat 2 years ago, Sunaina had kept the radio in Rehan' closet as she was aware of it' Emotional Value. Rehan had shared "THE RADIO CONNECT" with her many times whenever he used to reminisce his childhood. Sheepishly, and smiling foolish, Rehan took out the radio and tuned in the frequency.

(Click to listen to this melody..) Was playing against the cool rains outside. Tucking Sunaina' hand, Rehan started to sing and swooped her into a dance, with an cute excited audience of his adorable kids. The evening that day, seemed to be never-ending with smiles and laughter.

And the RADIO Love & Legacy continued...!!!
