Essentials To Carry For Travel


I love to Travel.


Travelling is all about diminishing boundaries and creating a blissful, amazing and satisfying soul curry for life. And ofcourse, travelling is a great learning experience as well.

You can say, there are various categories in which travelling can be divided into, each giving its own pleasure and experiences viz: Solo travelling, group travelling, couple travelling, honeymoon, excursions, family tours, treks, road trips, weekend getaways, extended weekend plans and many others are travelling categories evolved over time based on no. of travelers, place of visit, purpose of visit, duration of visit and so on....


An avid traveller surely invests their time, money, and soul. Right from planning, packing and executing the trip. This circle continues once we are back from 1 trip and start planning for the next.


I have listed down checklist of travelling essentials based on my experiences. Please check below:


  • Cash and cards: check the place of visit to have balance between cash and card usage.

  • All relevant documents (original and 1 set of photocopy) as applicable:

Vehicle Docs - valid puc, insurance, license and RC Book

Personal Docs: insurance, booking prints, travel tickets, applied passes, valid ID,

medical prescriptions.

  • First Aid Kit : band-aids, antiseptic liquid, soap, cotton, scissors.

  • Medicines: Nasal Strips, Paracetamol, Multi-Vitamin, and prescribed medicines.

  • Zip-lock bags.

  • Empty Backpack/Rucksack** : To carry selected items during site-seeing.

  • Caps and scarf.

  • Goggles and extra set of specs**

  • A set of clothes in separate bag.

  • Mosquito Repellent.

  • Sunscreen and Moisturizer.

  • Soap, Face-wash, Combs, Toothbrush, toothpastes, hair-oil, shampoos, hand towels and others as required.

  • Good and comfortable pair of shoe and flip-flop**

  • Extra carry bags/polythene to manage used clothes.

  • Socks and cover-coats**.

  • Sufficient Water Bottles to refill. Reduce plastic waste

  • Newspaper

  • Mobile chargers and power-banks, earphones

  • Camera, cam-bag, tripod and charger.

  • Swiss knife and few eatables (chocolates, chips,fruits..etc).

  • Emergency cash placed in 2-3 different places/bags.

  • Binoculars**

  • Clothes as per climate and place of visit.

  • Gloves, sweaters, windcheaters**.

  • Frequently used items can be placed in handbag.

  • Extras can be put in 1 bag/place.

  • All documents in 1 bag..

  • While sightseeing, make sure to be hands-free holding only camera and few items: carry essentials in backpack.
