For beginners who struggle with dots and straight lines, take help of chalk and scale to draw the complete outline and then put white rangoli on the outline.

Step 1: Put 4*4 dots equidistantly to form a square of 16 dots.

Step 2: Draw cross (X) with 4 dots at centre.

Step 3: From the V formed at centre, draw parallel lines as shown

Step 4: Connect the parallel lines with a small V. The mid point of V can be at mid-length.

Step 5: Connect the corner dots in a tapering lines (cone shaped).

Step 6: This completes the outline of the rangoli, fill it with your choice of colors.

Keep Diya at 1 or 4 corner/s to enhance and complete the look.
